20+ Years Producing Video for Melbourne Organisations
Dream Engine is a Melbourne video production company producing corporate videos, brand films, event coverage and business video content for organisations across Australia.
From executive interviews in Collins Street boardrooms through to conferences at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, we’ve produced videos in offices, factories, hospitals, universities and workplaces throughout Melbourne. That breadth of experience helps us anticipate challenges, solve problems quickly and keep every production running smoothly.
Trusted by Some of Australia’s Best-Known Brands
For more than 20 years, organisations including BMW, IBM, Motorola, Suncorp, The Good Guys, the University of Melbourne and government departments have trusted Dream Engine to deliver professional video production across Melbourne and Australia.
These productions often involve executive stakeholders, subject matter experts and multiple rounds of approvals. Our role is to keep the process organised, minimise disruption and deliver consistently high production standards from pre-production through to final delivery.
A Calm, Organised Production Process
For busy marketing, communications and HR teams, producing a video is just one of many projects competing for time and attention. Alongside your day-to-day responsibilities, there are stakeholders to coordinate, schedules to manage, locations to organise and deadlines to meet. A successful production depends as much on good communication and project management as it does on the quality of the finished video.
The role of our video production company is to take ownership of that process, making the experience straightforward from beginning to end. We work closely with your marketing, communications or project team, coordinating stakeholders, keeping everyone informed, solving problems as they arise and ensuring every stage of the production stays on track.
Whether we’re filming a single interview or a large multi-day production, our goal is to make the experience organised, professional and enjoyable, while delivering a finished video that you feel proud to share.

Video Production Pricing
What Does Video Production Cost?
Many Dream Engine business video projects fall between $4,000 and $10,000 + GST. Larger productions involving multiple filming days, locations, a larger crew, animation or a broader package of deliverables can exceed $15,000 + GST.
Pricing is based on the planning, filming and post-production required, not simply the finished length of the video. Your written proposal will clearly set out the production approach, deliverables, review rounds and everything included.
Indicative pricing only. Final pricing depends on the agreed scope.

Frequently asked questions
What clients usually want to know
Practical answers about planning, filming, approvals, timelines and delivery.
Can you help us plan the video before filming?
Yes. Many clients come to us with an objective rather than a finished concept. We can help shape the messaging, develop interview questions, recommend filming locations, create a production schedule and identify opportunities to capture multiple videos from the same filming day.
How far ahead should we book a video production?
The earlier the better, especially when there is a fixed launch date, several locations or multiple stakeholders. We can sometimes accommodate short-notice projects, but contacting us as soon as your likely filming window and delivery deadline are known gives us more options. We’ll confirm availability and a realistic schedule before the project begins.
How long does a typical video project take?
Project timeframes vary depending on the scope of the production. Simpler projects can often be completed within a few weeks, while larger productions involving multiple filming days or stakeholder approvals may take longer. We’ll provide a realistic production schedule during the planning stage.
How do feedback and revisions work?
We build review points into the production schedule and provide a clear process for collecting feedback from your internal stakeholders. The agreed review rounds are set out in the project scope, and consolidated comments help keep revisions efficient and the production on schedule.
Can you produce multiple videos from one filming day?
Yes. Many organisations maximise the value of a filming day by creating multiple videos from the same footage. For example, a single interview can often become a corporate video, shorter social media edits, recruitment content, customer testimonials and internal communications.
Can you film across multiple locations in Australia?
Yes. While we’re based in Melbourne, we regularly coordinate productions throughout Australia. Whether your organisation has offices in several cities or requires filming across multiple locations, we can deliver a consistent production experience and final result.
Can you work with our internal team or agency?
Yes. We can manage the full production or work alongside your internal marketing team, creative agency or production partner. We adapt to your existing workflow and provide the crew and production support the project requires.
What information do you need to prepare a quote?
To prepare an accurate quote, it helps to know what the video needs to achieve, who it is for, where filming may take place, your preferred timing and the videos or versions you need. If some of that is still undecided, that’s fine. We can help shape the scope before preparing a detailed proposal.
